Hi Gang,
Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. I have been working a lot and traveling a lot. The preparation for trips takes time, too. On this trip I had to pack for Argentina and Florida since I was heading there directly from Argentina.
I spent 2 1/2 days in Buenos Aires, and I made it count big time! I never imagined that I would ever get an opportunity like that and I have to thank Robzilla whole-heartedly for providing that opportunity. We were hoping to get a lot of interviewing in, but I only ended up doing one. Most of the time was just checking everything out and having fun.
Here is the airport. It was amazing. I got there at 7AM. Luckily, I slept some on the plane. It was a pretty long flight coming from Vegas. I had a stop in Dallas and switched planes there with a 3 1/2 hour layover. Still, the trip went really fast.
Before I knew it, I was at the airport.
The swine flu is pretty serious there with 100,00 cases. Upon deplaning, we were required to wear a mask and fill out health forms. It was pretty freaky. Once you got past the health officials, you were allowed to remove the mask.
I located Robzilla at the meeting spot in front of this restaurant. I have to tell you, I was a little worried I wouldn’t find it and I don’t speak Spanish! eek! Anyway, it is a little overwhelming when you walk into the airport, but I hit the info booth and they sent me in the right direction after my feeble attempt at communicating.
The taxi ride was around an hour. It was fun to see the scenery. It was really overcast, so I thought that the weather would be gloomy the whole time, but the sun came out and it was beautiful the whole time. It was a nice crisp cool weather (winter time for them) and I was loving it. After being in Vegas at 106, this was really welcome to me.
We got to the hotel and it was really cute and quaint.
It was so delightful.
They also had a really great wine bar and wine tasting so of course I tried the Malbec and I ended up buying two bottles there as well as at duty free on the way out.
The people were amazing there. It think that was my favorite part of this country. People who take pride in what they do and they have so much passion. It was so refreshing to see this.
The other things that were wonderful was the pastries and coffee.
I danced at a local dance hall and did the tango. I drank wine and had steak. I talked to so many wonderful local people. I stayed at a charming place and had a wonderful host. I took a walking tour with a very knowledgeable guide. I took a tango lesson with a charming couple. I met a passionate man who owned a restaurant. I was on the subways. I saw the cobble stone streets and the beautiful buildings. I ate amazing food and deserts. I walked. I took it all in. I had a dress designed for me. I rode in many different taxis and met some interesting taxi drivers. I experienced the dog walkers, the graveyards, the art. It was everywhere.
The language was beautiful. It had a touch of Italian in the Spanish flavor.
I saw the very poor areas and the very wealthy areas. I saw the poor people and saw the very rich.
Who would have thought that 2 1/2 days could be experienced like that. I made the best of it and it was worth the long flight there. If you have never been, it is a must!
I am going to be providing info of the different places and people in case you do find yourself there. I just need to get over the jetlag and I will be sure to put that info in a future blog.
Also, my next blog will talk about my Florida trip. I had so much stuff to write and I feel my eyelids getting very doopy.
I really wanted to tell you guys about my trip before too much time went by.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. As always, I really appreciate it.
Goodnight.
xoxo

Mateo,
The Argentina tango is nothing like what you would think. Robzilla got some video footage of me dancing at the dance hall. When he sends me a copy, I will share it on my acting reel page on my site so you all can see.
That would be fun to go dancing.
Randy….silly boy. Don’t you know the wine is going to be long gone by the time Oct rolls around.
I wish I could share it with you. Their Malbecs truly are amazing!
xoxo
