I meant to blog while in Chicago, but I was so busy, I didn’t get the chance to. Sorry about that.
I am back in Las Vegas, but before I tell you what is going on here, I will recap the fun stuff I had going on in Chicago.
I am finding out more and more that people really like to read this blog, so I don’t want to fail and not deliver something for everyone to read.
Anyway, I had a direct flight to Chicago from Vegas to Midway. My friend, Mateo, booked on the same flight as me so we could visit and make the trip a little smoother. He is such a good guy that he did this, because the hotel where Shibaricon was couldn’t be farther away from that airport. It was at the Hyatt close to O’Hare. I love Southwest Airlines so much, that I chose to fly into Midway instead since they don’t fly to O’Hare. Mateo didn’t the return flight from the other airport so he could keep another model company that was flying back to Vegas from there. Did you catch all that?
Anyway, I thought it was really nice of him and we were going to do that shuttle thing, but the Torvea guys picked us up at the airport. This was so generous of them to do, for they had driven straight from Atlanta to Chicago without stopping and started setting up their booth at the Hyatt as well as the other show they were vending at that was located in downtown Chicago. I am so touched that they did that. They could totally have said they couldn’t and I would have completely understood.
I have to tell you that I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have friends like that and I will never forget that. I hope I can return the favor to them sometime.
Anyway, got to the hotel and talked poor Scott’s ear off and he was clearly tired. He just sat there smiling at me.
lol What a friend.
The next day, I had a shoot with Michael. Here are some fun shots that we did that I thought I would share.
“Handcuffed to my suitcase”
I travel so much, I feel like that sometime.
He does cool things with nudes and patterns.
We headed out to dinner afterwards and then I pumped up for my wrestling session. Super nice guy and a lot of fun to wrestle.
I made him sweat which makes me feel tough.
The next day I had a wrestling session with another guy who was a blast as well and a sweater.
Always love the matches where you try but no one gets hurt.
I had a fun shoot with Archester on Sat. He loves my feet so that was the focal point. I even got tickled!
Sunday was cancelled but no worries. It happens.
I had the opportunity to work out at the gym there. They have a really nice one so for once, I didn’t miss my workout. I was really happy about that.
While I was there, I ran into Ivan Boulder and a few other people from Fetishcon. That made this even more fun. Plus, I went out to dinner with my friend, Geoff. He took me to a great Japanese restaurant and we had drinks at the top of this hotel downtown that was really cool.
I also got my hot dog and pizza fix. You can’t go there without eating that, right? It would be a sin!
I had a super great time. For once, I didn’t overbook myself, but for some reason I was exhausted. The time went by super fast for me.
I got back and had to do laundry, emails, etc. That is always the fun part about getting back from a trip.
The next day, it was back to the gym with my trainer who kicked my butt and then I saw the new Star Trek Movie. It was pretty good. It was definitely a fun movie to watch.
I had lunch with a really cool guy, Al. I think he is becoming a fast close friend of mine. Very outdoorsy and full of great stories. Such a sweet guy with a fun personality. We went out for sushi today. I had a last minute audition for an airline commercial that I had to go to after lunch.
I didn’t get it. If I did, my butt wouldn’t be on here blogging this late at night.
I didn’t think that I would get the part because they age range was 40-50 years old. I am 42, but sometimes I think they think I look younger than I am. I guess that is a compliment, but tell that to my gray hair that is starting to come in. Doh! Anyway, it is always a good experience to go on an audition.
I have a session tomorrow anyway, and I knew I wouldn’t get this one, but thought, what the heck..I’ll go.
I like a challenge.
I have to get up early for a doctor’s appointment so I better scoot.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog and thank you so much for being a fan and a friend. Without fans and friends, you are nothing.
I will try to do better this week, but it looks like I have some major things I will need to edit.
Goodnight!
xoxo
Tomiko
